Last week, students from Oracle Charter School (and other high school students from around the city) who are a part of the Boy Scouts Greater Niagara Frontier Council Law and Government Career Exploring Program had the chance to attend an educational session at City Hall. To open up this amazing opportunity, the students were greeted by the Honorable Mayor Byron Brown. Several accomplished panelists like, Judge McLeod, Judge Chimes, Council Member Wingo and Assistant Corporation Counsel Cavette Chambers shared their experiences and stories from their personal careers in law and government. The students were inquisitive and engaged. Additionally, the students had the opportunity to tour City Hall and learn about its history and current use..
The next regular program session for students will focus on Sports and Entertainment Law. It will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at Coca-Cola Field (Pettibones Restaurant) and include attorneys and agents who represent entertainers and professional athletes.
Thank you to our Law and Government Career Exploring Program
